Question 1

Who actually does the work on my project?

Accepted Answer

Wil Bertrand leads every RenovoKC project from the first consultation to the final walkthrough, working alongside his trusted team and staying personally involved every step of the way. Your project isn't passed from one crew to another, so you have one trusted point of contact who keeps you informed, solves problems, and makes sure every detail is completed with care.

Question 2

What areas does RenovoKC serve?

Accepted Answer

RenovoKC serves the greater Kansas City metro, with a focus on Overland Park, Leawood, Lee's Summit, Kansas City, Olathe. If you're just outside those areas, reach out anyway — service area is based on the project, not a strict boundary line.

Question 3

What services does RenovoKC offer?

Accepted Answer

RenovoKC offers seven core services: kitchens and bathrooms; flooring and tile; carpentry and custom trim; decks and siding; gutters, windows, and doors; plumbing and electrical; and custom welding, railings, and metalwork. Wil Bertrand and his team specialize in complete home transformations, so one project can cover several of these without being split across separate contractors.

Question 4

What is custom trim work?

Accepted Answer

Custom trim is the finish carpentry that turns a plain room into a distinctive one: wainscoting, wall paneling, bunk beds, mud room benches, hidden doors, bookshelves, and built-ins. It's detail work that's easy to get wrong and obvious when it's done right, which is why it's one of RenovoKC's signature strengths.

Question 5

Do you do tile showers?

Accepted Answer

Yes — tile showers are one of the most common projects RenovoKC takes on, from full shower rebuilds and waterproofing to tile floors and backsplashes. Wil and his team set tile by hand with attention to layout and long-term water management, not just surface appearance.

Question 6

How much does a bathroom remodel cost?

Accepted Answer

Bathroom remodel cost depends on the scope — full gut versus refresh, tile and fixture selections, and the size and layout of the space — so there isn't one number that applies to every bathroom. Because Wil and his team handle the project from start to finish, RenovoKC can put together one clear, honest estimate for your specific project rather than a stack of separate bids to reconcile. Call 816-724-2315 or request a quote to get real numbers for your space.

Question 7

How much does custom trim or a built-in cost?

Accepted Answer

Cost for custom trim and built-ins varies with the design, materials, and how much of the room it covers — a simple mud bench and a full wainscoting package aren't priced the same way. The best way to get an accurate number is a quote based on what you have in mind.

Question 8

How do I get a quote?

Accepted Answer

Getting a quote starts with a call or a message through the contact page describing the project — call 816-724-2315 or use the contact form. Wil Bertrand will typically want to see the space (in person or with photos) before putting together a firm estimate, since scope and materials drive the price.

Question 9

How long does a typical remodel take?

Accepted Answer

Timelines vary by scope — a tile shower and a full bathroom gut-and-remodel are very different jobs — so there's no single answer that fits every project. Because your project isn't passed from one crew to another, there's less waiting between phases, and Wil and his team keep the project moving without sacrificing quality.

Question 10

Do you work on existing homes as well as new construction?

Accepted Answer

Yes — most of RenovoKC's work is remodeling and renovating existing homes throughout the Kansas City metro, though Wil and his team also take on new-construction finish work like custom trim and tile. Existing-home work often involves matching or updating what's already there, which is factored into the estimate.

Question 11

What makes RenovoKC different from other contractors?

Accepted Answer

The difference is who stays involved: with RenovoKC, Wil Bertrand leads every project from the first consultation to the final walkthrough, supported by a trusted team. Your project isn't passed from one crew to another, which means one schedule, consistent quality across the whole project, and one trusted point of contact who stands behind the result.

Question 12

Can you match existing trim, tile, or siding when doing a partial remodel?

Accepted Answer

In many cases, yes — matching existing trim profiles, tile patterns, or siding is a normal part of partial remodels, and it's discussed as part of the walkthrough and estimate. Exact feasibility depends on whether the original materials or close equivalents are still available.

Question 13

Do you offer siding repair, or only full replacement?

Accepted Answer

RenovoKC handles both siding repair and full replacement, with Wil and his team seeing the work through from assessment to finish. Which makes sense for your home depends on the extent of the damage or wear, which is assessed as part of the estimate.
